Extended Access Appointments

Extended Access Appointments

We are increasing the number of appointments available for you to see a Clinician in the evenings or at weekends across West Leicestershire. These appointments are arranged by the North West Leicestershire GP Federation.

Depending on your individual circumstances and symptoms, we may offer you an ‘extended access’ appointment. Please note however, that these appointments will not be in your usual GP practice and may not be with one of your usual GP’s Clinicians.

Depending on the reason for your appointment, it may be suitable for you to see an alternate Clinician such as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Physiotherapist or Clinical Pharmacist instead of a GP.

The Clinician you see will be able to access relevant sections of your medical notes and will communicate what has happened during your appointment back to your usual GP practice.

These appointments will be available at the following locations:

  • Long Lane Surgery, Beacon House, Long Lane, Coalville. LE67 4DR
  • Castle Medical Group, Ascebi House, 118 Burton Road, Ashby e-La-Zouch. LE65 2LP
  • Ibstock and Barlestone Surgeries, 132 High Street, Ibstock, LE67 6JP

You still need to call our reception team to arrange an appointment. They will also be able to answer any queries regarding the extended access scheme
